Oliver Ryan and Steve Robinson look set to join the clearout after extending their loan deals at Ilkeston and Worksop. Having made just 4 appearances between them this seaosn, it looks like they will be amoungst the first to be offloaded in the upcoming transfer window.

Many were left surprised after Steve Robinson, a player that Keith had raved about during his injury, has only played 60 (very impressive) minutes. Robinson rejected a lucrative offer at Swindon to join the Imps, he got injured during the pre-season tour of Ireland, but as soon as his injury cleared up, he was straight into the first team to face Stockport and put in a great performance, however, he then just seemed to disappear, he wasn't injured so everyone was left wondering what had happened. Keith then claimed he was going to slowly bring him into the squad and he hasn't played since. He joined Worksop on loan just over a month ago and joins with former City striker, Dene Cropper.

Ryan is a product of the youth system but like Adam Kerley last season, was dropped after playing impressively for a few games. He came close to giving the Imps a victory in the home match against Cheltenham, which was his first start for the Imps. However, he failed to feature after a few games and joined Ilkeston on loan.

It is highly doubtful that either of these players will ever play in an Imps shirt again which is a shame, as both showed promise but Keith says he needs the wages to bring in "better" players, January will certainly be interesting.
