Crewe targeting an unnamed Imp

Crewe Alexandra are set to make a bid for an unnamed Lincoln player when the transfer window opens in just over 3 weeks time. Gradi has apparantly kept an eye on Lincoln's progress since the Imps demolished the Championship side in the Carling Cup earlier this season.

Gradi's target is believed to be the man who scored the first goal in the 5-1 demolition, Lee Beevers, who himself only joined the Imps in February, just a few days after the Imps had beaten Boston 2-0 at York Street.

Speaking at a press conference, Gradi stated

"We've watched Lincoln since we played them in the Cup and we're still looking at one [player] there."

Although Gradi hasn't confirmed the name of his target, many would be surprised if it turned out not to be Lee Beevers. The longest serving manager in the country will make his move for his target in January.
