Keith Alexander's reign appears over

After 3 and a half seasons as Lincoln's manager, Keith Alexander and his assistant, Gary Simpson are on the verge of being sacked. News came through to City fans just 3 and a half hours before the Monday afternoon trip to Mansfield Town and the fans have been full of speculation since.

After discussions with Board Members a meeting has taken place today (Monday) with First Team Manager Keith Alexander and Assistant Manager Gary Simpson. the outcome of that meeting is that both Keith Alexander and Gary Simpson are to be put on leave.

A further Board Meeting will take place later this week. During the interim period John Schofield has been given the responsibilities of pro-football.

No further statements or comments will be made on this matter until the full Board Meeting has been concluded.

No fans, not even those heavily in the know seem to know exactly what is happening but most would be very surprised if Keith manages another game for the club and even fans of other clubs are calling it a ridiculous decision to get rid of Keith.
