Watford hand trial to Imps youngster

Lincoln City's youth team goalkeeper, Scott Loach has joined Watford on trial after being linked to Premiership clubs. A few weeks ago, Loach was heavily tipped to have attracted the interest of several Premiership clubs but the men from Vicarage Road are the first to take a look at Loach.

Watford last raided Sincil Bank in February 2004 when they brought Paul Mayo off the Imps for £65,000 only for the young defender to flop and return to Sincil Bank during the summer and he brought Omari Coleman with him. The Hornets have had an excellent season and still have a chance of automatic promotion to the Premiership but a playoff place is almost guaranteed for the team who spent a year in the Premiership in 1999/2000.

The 17 year old goalkeeper was the target of several top flight clubs, believed to include Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester City but none opted to make a move to take a closer look at the Nottingham born man.

He goes straight in their reserve squad to face West Ham tonight.
