If Lincoln City are lucky enough to make the playoffs, we could be set to play the home leg with a 12:05pm kick off. City still have a lot of work to do to reach the playoffs but have arguably the easiest (on paper) run in out of all the teams chasing 7th place and it might finally be our year.

The Imps have failed in the previous 3 playoff attempts and history shows that if a team makes it to a 4th consecutive playoffs, they go up. That was the case with the only other side to have made the "End of Season Lottery" 4 years in a row were Birmingham and in their 4th, they beat Norwich on penalties to win a place in the Premiership.

If the Imps finish 7th, it means that the Imps would have the home leg kicking off at the early time of 12:05pm, the same time used for the Imps trip to Macclesfield in the second leg last season. The only guaranteed thing about the playoffs if we make them is that the 2nd leg will have a 7:45pm kick off after last year's ridiculous state of affairs which saw the League 2 semi finals and final just 7 days apart. It was viewed as a stupid move that the league that was the last to complete the semi finals, was the first to have their final, leaving a relatively small gap to prepare.

If we finish 7th

Home Leg : Saturday 13th May, 12:05pm kick off
Away Leg : Tuesday 16th May, 7:45pm kick off

If we finish 6th

Home Leg : Saturday 13th May, 6:05pm kick off
Away Leg : Thursday 18th May, 7:45pm kick off.
