Forest friendly finally confirmed

After weeks of waiting to see whether they'd be in the same division next year, our friendly against Forest is finalised. The was provisionally announced a few weeks ago as it was still a possibility of the 2 sides being in League 1 next season but seeing as that disappeared, we can go ahead.

Nottingham Forest, easily the region's most successful club will travel to Sincil Bank on the evening of Wednesday July 26th with a 7:45pm kick off but fans will be hoping that it will end more exciting that the last friendly between the 2 clubs as the teams drew 0-0 with some curious decisions on the stewarding that let Forest and City fans stand/sit within 5 feet of each other with no barriers or stewards seperating them.

It is the second friendly to be confirmed so far with the other being a visit from Leicester City just 2 days before the Forest game, again with a 7:45pm kick off. Liverpool are also contractually obligated to fulfil a friendly at Sincil Bank following the sale of Jack Hobbs last summer, no date has been officially announced for this however. It is also believed that another home friendly will be announced to take place on the Imps Community day.

No away fixtures have been confirmed although the usually trips to all non-league Lincolnshire grounds can be expected. We are also believed to be negotiating friendlies with Scarborough and Cambridge United.
