Lincoln City's coach/physio Keith Oakes has lef the Imps and has joined Keith Alexander at Peterborough United. The club from London Road is starting to get a very familiar look after former Imps assistant manager, Gary Simpson and ex-Imps' midfielder, Richard Butcher have also joined.

Oakes leaves Sincil Bank after several years at the club and has signed a contract with Lincoln City's tribute club at Peterborough United. He is one of the youngest players in Peterborough's history and arrived at Sincil Bank from Peterborough United a few years ago. Other than his physio work, Keith Oakes was mainly left in charge of training Alan Marriott and Simon Raynor in their goalkeeping duties.

Peterborough United chairman, Barry Fry revealed that Keith Alexander asked him to bring in Oakes during Alexander's holiday. Alexander also requested Fry to bring in Gary Simpson and Richard Butcher and with Peter Gain already being at the club, London Road is starting to look like very familar to Lincoln fans.

Oakes' departure now meaning that the Imps will more than likely be looking to bring in a new coach as only Grant Brown outside of the main management team is capable of coaching the side whereas Michael Waite is now the only physio at the club. Hopefully there will be more news regarding this situation within the next few days.
