The Jackson & Butterley Cups 2002

THE JACKSON CUP

The first round of the Jackson Cup was washed out on June 5th. However, one of the games had been played the previous week, that between Quarndon and Sandiacre Town. Also, the disbandment of Stainsby Hall's first team meant that their opponents, Shipley Hall, had a bye to the next round.

Quarndon 130-5 (D Player 60) beat Sandiacre Town 129 (A Taylor 30, D Player 3-38, R Green 3-23) by one run

The four remaining games are due to be played on Monday evening, 6.00 pm start. They are: Nutbrook v Sawley; Ockbrook v Long Eaton; Alvaston & Boulton v West Hallam; Denby v Elvaston.

The draw for the Quarter Final of the Jackson Cup, to be played on Wednesday 19th June, is: Ilkeston Rutland v Alvaston & Boulton or West Hallam; Spondon v Nutbrook or Sawley; Denby or Elvaston v Quarndon; Ockbrook or Long Eaton v Shipley Hall.
