The silence from the FA after Saturday's semi-final has seemed interminable. But at last, Tuesday evening, they have made an announcement.
Blackburn's Andy Todd has been charged with violent conduct by the FA in relation to the incident that saw Van Persie hit the deck after scoring the brilliant third goal. He has until 6pm tomorrow evening to respond.
Meanwhile Mark Hughes has been bleating, to anyone that will listen, that criticism of his teams thuggery on Saturday is disrespectful. He also suggests that the real cause for this false perception of his team is all Arsenal's fault, as he had no complaints from tough manly northern teams.
Pass the sickbag.
