Alex Ferguson is dismayed at the special treatment shown to Arsenal by the Premiership. Holding this tapping up enquiry a few days before the final is blatant favouritism he raged.
Arsenal training sessions are well known for their robustness, Keown used to kick Pires in the air for laughs, and only this week Jose Reyes was injured in training, as defenders tried to get him ready for the Neville brothers (They need not have bothered, Gary is out. Ed).
Now Ashley has been able to rest, not just one day, but by leaving his evidence until last, he has had two days off.
Sir Alex believes this is yet another example of Arsenal getting preferential treatment from the powers that be.
In addition, to help Arsenal further the decision will be held over until after the final. This will give Ashley time to organise a mass campaign on human rights. There are thousands of footballers out there, some earning as little as £5000 a week, who are being denied the basic human right of meeting with bald-headed men in posh hotels to discuss career options.
Meanwhile Sir Alex has failed, so far, to say anything about Malcolm Glazer. Apparently, he is carefully studying the video of George Galloway at the Senate yesterday for ideas of how to stand up to overbearing yanks.
