Both the News of the World and the Daily Mirror appear this morning with the same astounding news. Claiming an exclusive the News of the World says Cole will stay.

Cole has allegedly been given a contract that guarantees him £70,000 a week. if this is true it just gets better, with Henry as captain, and Reyes and Clichy on contract until 2010.

Meanwhile agreement to sign the beast seems more and more likely. Wenger has asked us to trust him, if he pulls of the Cole signing, and Baptista we will know his magic hat is working as well as ever.

Of course we will have to wait for confirmation, but we know Henry has agreed to Captain the team, Wenger must have convinced him the future is good.
