Two nil is a good score to take away in Europe, but never take anything for granted in football. With a few minutes to go Lyons looked like they were through to the semi-finals and then in a matter of moments their world was turned up side down.
The old cliché that football is a 90-minute game does not suffice in the Champions League, rather it is 180-minute game, and Italian teams can punish you in the 180th minute or beyond.
Lyons tired and lost concentration it was fatal, Arsenal must keep concentration for a least 90 minutes tonight, and for any added time. Wenger and his captain Henry are no fools, and they have both warned against any complacency, but Arsene believes he can finish the job. However not being complacent must not mean letting the tempo drop, for if Arsenal do Juventus will dominate. Arsenal must try to score without conceding, but they will not need to be as desperate for a goal as Juve will. It also appears that Juve will not have Del Piero, no Vieira and the other suspensions, but Nedved will be available.
It looks increasingly likely that Fabregas will play, and increasingly likely that Eboue (fitness test later today) may take the field. Campbell, Freddy and Walcott are also in the squad, with Diaby also maintaining his fitness Wenger is spoilt for choice. Also for the first time in quite a while he has got a second striker available in Robin van Persie. I must say that the one player I am concerned about most is Eboue, it has taken a long time for the team to develop a solid back four it would be unfortunate if it was to be undermined at this crucial moment.
On the plus side Henry says his tendon problem has almost gone and that he can now go on his Turbo charged runs again. Juve will not be able to relax at any stage of the game knowing that he could strike at any time. If Arsenal can get a reasonably early goal then Juventus would need four goals to win. That is the dream scenario, reality maybe a little bit more difficult.
