Rain halts play for most of the day

Rain took its toll today as the games was delayed till 4:45. The teams eventually came out and Sri Lanka stood firm and battled away fustrating England with Freddie and Hoggard struggling to make the break through.
Sri Lanka made sure England will bat again with Michael Vandort and Tillekeratne Dilshan leading the way. Sri Lanka came out 68 behind with 4 wickets down but the England players struggled to break through.
But Matthew Hoggard struck late to boost Englands chances of winning by getting Tillakaratne Dilshan lbw for 59. The pair had put on a partnership of 125 but eventually ended with some people saying the LBW chance was too high.
Hopefully England can stay on top again but we all know how Sri Lanka can play as we saw in the later stages of the Lords test but England will have to be wary of Muralitharan.
