Yorkshire v Durham Preview - CC, Riverside

July 13 2006

After the recent successes in the Twenty20 its back to work for the Tykes as they travel up to Durham trying to put their Championship season back on track. A twelve man squad has been selected and will aim to transfer the confidence gained in the 20 over slogathon to the 4 day game. Yorkshire have yet to experience victory in the Championship this season and although we are only at the halfway stage a positive result at Durham is the only result that can lift the Tykes off the bottom of the Division 1 table.

With nearest rivals Middlesex facing a tough away tie at Warwickshire and third from bottom Notts playing host to Hampshire a win could see Yorkshire leepfrog them both. Here's hoping!

The side to face Durham in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship match at the Riverside will be selected from the following squad...

C White (capt) 13
J J Sayers 22
A McGrath 10
M J Lumb 15
D S Lehmann 3
A W Gale 26
T T Bresnan 16
G L Brophy (w/k) 20
R K J Dawson 21
J N Gillespie 44
G J Kruis 5
M E Claydon 11
