Back Down To Earth With A Loud Bang

Yorkshire fans were brought back down to earth with a bang today as Scarborough played host to Yorkshire's first Pro40 fixture. It ended in a resounding 167 run defeat to Leicestershire, with Yorkshire skittled for a paltry 96 when chasing 264 to win. Yorkshire's last match before the Twenty20 quarter final against Essex did little to settle the nerves.

Yorkshire were never in the running. Leicestershire rattled up a total of 263 in 40 overs and Yorkshire fell a massive 163 runs short.

From the moment Craig White lost the toss to Patterson losing his wicket Yorkshire's mind seemed to be already in Chelmsford preparing for the shorter match slog.
