Lehmann Takes Player of the Season Award

The Unofficial Yorkshire CCC website is proud to announce that Darren Lehmann is its first Player of the Season. Polling a staggering 76% of a record vote on the website Lehmann won by a stretch. Adil Rashid has been voted Young Player of the Year by virtue of finishing second in the poll. The site received a record number of votes during the polling and Darren Lehmann received a massive 76% share of votes cast. In a season where he has dominated opposition bowling attacks with his powerful batting displays, accumulating over seventeen hundred runs at an average of 77.54 there is no denying he is the worthy winner of this award.

The Young Player of the Year Award goes to Adil Rashid who has taken the English cricketing world by storm this summer. The 18 year old polled 16% of the vote and was in second place by a clear margin. Adil has so far taken 21 wickets at just 23.19 a piece this season.
