At the presentation afterwards, Nass praised his side, saying: "I'd like to thank my team, some of them aren't here with us. But the ones that are here, the ones that have gone back and others, I'd like to thank you for five out of the six months we've been away from home. I've never seen a bunch of lads faced with such difficult times in India and difficult times here - difficult times on and off the field. I'd like to thank my team for keeping their heads held high."

Nasser also praised the 'Barmy-Army' for their usual terrific support, commenting: "I'd like to thank all our supporters who have made the journey over from England....We very much appreciate it."

The England captain also had praise for his opposite number, Stephen Fleming: "I'd just like to congratulate Stephen and his side for winning this Test match."

After the presentation, the Essex man spoke about his team in more depth, saying: "I'm interested in the efforts of my team, are we improving, are we learning, how we are going to get better, how we're going to win an Ashes series."

He also commented on the talented youngsters that played, this being certainly one of the positives from the winter: "We've got a lot of young guys breaking into Test cricket like Andy Flintoff, Ashley Giles, James Foster and Matthew Hoggard. These blokes coming along and doing well is good for English cricket. Their heart and effort and the way they have stuck to the plans have been very good and they probably deserved a lot more from this series."

Talking about the fourth day's situation about fielding under the floodlights, Nasser said: "The last thing I want to do is be like a whingeing England captain after a great Test, but things like fielding under lights need to be looked at by the ICC."

Positive words from a positive man and also from Essex's other player out with England.

Speaking on the 'World Cricket Centre' on Sky Sports after the match, Fossy said: "I was very happy to be selected for the winter tours. I've throughly enjoyed it."

Credit to Nass for coming out and giving praise to his team and talking positively, one of the many things he has brought to England since taking over as captain.

All in all then, a dissapointing day for England, but positives for Nasser Hussain and James Foster to take from the match and the winter.
