Essex have named a 21-man squad for the South Africa tour to Cape Town, which starts tomorrow. The squad below will fly our to SA for two weeks of hard graft in preparation for the season over here. Read on for the squad....

Squad For South Africa Tour

All of the squad bar Scott Brant, Ashley Cowan, Nasser Hussain and Ronnie Irani will be present for the two week tour.

Brant's commitment's with Queensland don't end until the end of March, so he won't be joining the team as first thought and will arrive in Chelmsford during the first weekend of April now. Ash Cowan is, of course, resting after his knee operation and won't play in 2003, while Nass and Ronnie are given a rest after their busy winter international schedule. Andy Flower will join up with the team in South Africa, once they've arrived at Newlands.
