Many of Durham Cricket Club's contracted players will be playing premier league cricket this season. Coach Martyn Moxon is keen to see all squad players playing league cricket when not required for first team matches.
All of Durham's 22 contracted professional players have been allocated to a premier league club for the duration of the season. Many of the players already have links with premier league teams, especially those that have not been regualars in the first XI.
This season each premier league team was allowed to select two contracted players, one from a list of eleven players most likely to be involved in first team games and one from the remaining players.
Each club can only field one contracted player per game and the allocations made cannot be changed during the season.
Durham's overseas players are not included in the allocations. Many premier league teams already have their one allowed overseas player.
The allocations are as follows, in each case the first named player is from the first choice list of eleven.
Benwell Hill: MA Gough, P Mustard
Blaydon: PD Collingwood, G Onions
Chester-Le-Street: GD Bridge, AM Thorpe
