News: ComeOneYouSaints.com goes from Strength the Strength!

Just a short note but a quick reminder of what COYSDC is all about....
ComeOnYouSaints.com
HOW WE KEEP GROWING!
The editors of
ComeOnYouSaints.com are dead chuffed to announce that, in the month of January
2010, the number of “hits” or “page impressions” for the website broke new
boundaries for this website. We know that
we are one of the most popular fans forums on the rugby web and it’s great to
share our success with all our regular authors, message-board contributors and
lurkers.
SPORTNETWORK

TODAY
What is most pleasing for the Eds is that we’ve blown away our record for
article views. For those that don’t know, COYSDC earns no pennies (which help
keep the site running) for the messageboard traffic. We had almost 180,000 story views last month which helps to run the site and contribute to our charity donations. As a comparison on story "reads", the nearest equivalent was Quins' 111,000.
It’s the match previews
and reports which makes the site “tick” and move forward. If you’ve not yet had
a go at writing one, please consider taking the plunge. All contributions are
welcome!
Fair play to the eds and for all those that really contribute to this site by writing articles, previews and match reports. The discussions and rugby insight are very much appreciated by myself, someone still learning the bleeding laws of this sport some 14 years after starting following the Saints. (It would help if they didnt keep tinkering with them!)
I spend every day at work, constantly coming back onto this site to find out what's happening, so after racking up a million hits per month myself, I think the rest of you should be ashamed at only making 118151..!!!
Actually, I like Rich's idea of moving the links to a news article. It would work pretty well too - Report on Sunday/Monday, article with photo links on Tuesday/Wednesday (with a few tantalising teasers) would give people a chance to post them online, then round the week off with Thoughts from the Chron on Thursday, and the match preview on Friday!
As of this week, Ill post the match review as a sticky, and if the photographers could email the picture links to editors@comeonyousaints.com with any comments, we can add them at the bottom of the article. This way, when we are searching for match pictures they will always be with the review. I'll add to the Thomond match so you can see what it looks like.
You could always add the photos in a follow on page linked from the main page - as I do for the MoTM graphics (when I do them ). This way the report is quick to read for those on low bandwidth and yet the photos are easy to access for those with higher bandwidth - and an additional story page imprint!
