Hi everybody,

We were bathed in golden light in stark contrast to events in January - I enjoyed every moment of the trip apart from the result. As many have said, this young team did us proud and will learn from the experience. In Toulouse in 2005, we felt lucky just to be there and a year later despite the win in San Sebastian, we didn't really feel as though our team was progressing. Now I do think that this team will grow in maturity and experiences such as Saturday will serve us well.

Claire, I don't know how you could take those photos of Dowse and Dylan without putting the camera down and giving them a hug - they look distraught!

Emma - it was very hard taking photos of the boys after the match. They were clearly upset. I didn't encroach on the huddle though Sky did - but I did see it as my role to record events so I tried to without being too intrusive.

As for giving them a hug, I think they would have run a mile rather than be seen to be hugged by a large middle-aged woman in a funny hat! But the thought did occur to me
