Brown, who was on 89 over night quickly reached he fifth hundred of the season. But he was soon dismissed for 107 when he was caught behind off Stevens. Jon Batty was the new batsman, but he failed to make any runs. Ian Salisbury gave Valuable support to Hollioake to help him reach his maiden double hundred. This has been an amazing year for Hollioake after everything that happened in the winter. He has led Surrey to their third championship in three years and scored valuable runs in the late order. He has also taken valuable wickets in the National league to lead Surrey to promotion. Ian Salisbury then hit 36 as Hollioake decided to make a late declaration with Surrey on 492 for 9.
