By Surrey loose again

Surrey lost their third Benson and Hedges cup match yesterday when they lost to Essex by 4 wickets. Mark Ramprakash top scored for Surrey but that was all in vain as Andy Flower scored an excellent 91. Surrey lost their third consecutive Benson and Hedges cup match to Essex yesterday at Chelmsford.
Essex won the toss and decided to field. Mark Butcher and Alec Stewart put on 61 before Stewart departed for 20 when he was court by Irani of the bowling of John Dakin. Butcher then added 46 with Ramprakash before he was caught and bowled by Adrian Grayson for 62. Surrey were the bowled out for 223 with Mark Ramprakash remaining not out with an excellent 70.
Surrey had to get early wickets and did when Martin Bicknell removed both openers cheaply. But 91 from Any Flowed and 41 from Graham Napier won the match for Essex. Although Martin Bicknell did end up with 3 wickets. Essex finished on 224 for 6, winning by 4 wickets.
