Adam Hollioake starred with both bat all ball to guide Surrey in to the semi-finals of the twenty20 cup at the Brit Oval. Firstly he scored 45 and then destroyed the Worcestershire lower order with three wickets. Surrey made a poor start to their innings and looked out of the game at 50 for 5, with Nadeem Malik capturing three wickets. James Benning and Adam Hollioake then took the score to 99. Benning fell for a useful 29 when former Surrey spinner Gareth Batty took an excellent catch of his own bowling. Surrey captain John Batty hit a useful 18, but it was the former skipper Adam Hollioake who starred in the innings and once again showed his use with the bat by scoring a magnificent 45 not out from just 29 balls.

After losing captain Graeme Hick early, Vikram Solanki and Gareth Batty looked to have won the game fore the royals with a stand of 51. However James Ormond removed both of the players in quick succession to leave Worcestershire 78 for 4. Adam Hollioake once again proved a match winner by capturing three wickets. Phil Sampson also chipped in with one wicket as the lions won by a comfortable margin of 14 runs. Adam Hollioake put in yet another magnificent all-round performance by scoring valuable 45 runs and then taking three wickets. James Ormond also proved useful by taking two wickets and conceding just 14 runs from his allotted 4 overs.
