Thorpe announces retirement

Graham Thorpe has announced that he will retire from first class Cricket at the end of the season. Thorpe 36, retied from international cricket after being left out of the Ashes squad. Thorpe is thought to be a front runner to replace Steve Rixon as coach of the club. He will be going to Australia to coach New South Wales in the winter.
