Sorry piled on meaningless runs, as already the relegated home side continued to dominate as they reached 607 for four. A record 5th wicket between Azhar Mahmood and Mark R*mprakash of 290 was scant consolation for their division 2 fate.
Rain intervened during lunch as no further play was possible, as the Middlesex survival party continued in the pavilion and Beehive pub.
