Bowlers show at Grace

Tim Murtagh and Nayan Doshi both took three wickets as Surrey dominated day two of their County Championship match against Leicestershire at Grace Road. Earlier Surrey had been bowled out for 370 with Mark Ramprakash hitting 113
Day one
Surrey won the toss and decided to bat. Scott Newman fell early on for just 9. However Batty and Ramprakash added 75, with Batty making a useful 54. Ramprakash and Butcher then took control as they put on 162. Ramprakash went on to complete his 80th first class hundred as he took his personal average against Leicestershire past 90.
However when on 113 he was trapped leg before wicket to Darren Maddy. Surrey lost another wicket before the close of play, with Ali Brown departing for 25. Mark Butcher remains not out on 75 and Rikki Clarke on 19.
Day Two
The Surrey batting collapsed as they lost 6 wickets for 35 runs, with Stuart Broad taking 5 for 94. Only Rikki Clarke with 45 showed any resistance.
However Surrey quickly as took control as Robinson fell early to Ormond for 9. Leicestershire’s top order failed as they were to 88 for 5, with Murtagh taking three wickets. Clarke took the next wickets as he removed Nixon for 20 to leave the foxes 126 for 6.
Doshi then got in on the act as he took three wickets, including the key wicket of Ackerman for 87. Leicestershire were bowled out for 244, giving Surrey full bowling points and a lead of 128.
