Smith Confident Ahead of Oval Test

South African captain Graeme Smith says that the Oval is a perfect place for his side to start their three match battle with England, and is confident that his sides away form will hold them in good stead for the series....

Smith was speaking at the press conference ahead of the series, when he said "The Oval is probably the best wicket suited to our style of play, there is more bounce here."

He went on "Our record away from home recently, speaks for itself. In all conditions, we have probably been the most consistant team in recent time."

The weather for the first couple of days is for heavy showers, but the remainder of the test match, should be played in bright sunshine, with warmer conditions.
