Dernbach Returns to Inquest

England's limited overs fast bowler Jade Dernbach has flown back from New Zealand to give evidence at the inquest into the sad death of Surrey batsman Tom Maynard.....

Dernbach was left out of England's one day squad for the three ODI matches in New Zealand, after he became the most expensive bowler in the 50 over format, as England lost 302 out in India just after christmas.

He was however, a key factor in England's 2-1 Twenty20 series win in New Zealand, and showed that his confidence has not been affected by being dropped from the 50 over squad.

Dernbach is thought to be the last person to see Maynard alive before he was tragically found on underground train lines, near Wimbledon, following a police chase involving the Surrey youngsters car.

The inquest starts on February 26, in Westminster.
