Anderson Bang on Form

England's opening bowler, James Anderson was right on form, by taking 5 wickets for his county, Lancashire, in the County Championship match at Old Trafford against Nottinghamshire...

It won't be enough to save the current County Champions from defeat thought, as the home side closed on 39-5, chasing 328 runs to win, with just one day of play remaining.

After recovering from an injury scare whilst fielding on day 1, Anderson showed he is in the mood for a busy English summer, with a superb spell of swing bowling.

One of his scalps was his England team mate, Graeme Swann, and Anderson was pleased to get his rythmn right during the second innings score of 304 all out for the visitors.

“I didn’t feel like I bowled as well as I did first innings but I was happy to be able to get out there and contribute." Anderson said after the end of Day 4.

And he wasn't giving up the chance of an unlikey victory for his county side “We’ve just got to try and stay positive. If you get two guys in on that pitch then it’s a pretty good pitch for batting. We need a couple of big partnerships.” He told the Liverpool Echo.
