New Zealand will play the West Indies in two Twenty20 games, out in Florida, USA as part of their Caribbean Tour for 2012. The games are poised to promote the game in America, and brings hope that one day England will one day head over and fly the flag.

The matches will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Cricket Stadium at Lauderhill, about 50km (33 miles) from Miami on June 30 and July 1.

New Zealand Cricket chief executive David White said "we're excited about the potential impact of this (T20) series on the development and growth of cricket in the USA."

The kiwi's will be playing two T20's, 5 ODI's and two test matches on their tour.

Schedule:

June 30, 1st T20, Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida

July 1, 2nd T20, Central Broward Regional Park, Lauderhill, Florida.

July 5, 1st ODI, Sabina Park, Kingston.

July 7, 2nd ODI, Sabina Park, Kingston.

July 11, 3rd ODI, Warner Park, St Kitts.

July 14, 4th ODI, Warner Park, St Kitts.

July 16, 5th ODI, Warner Park, St Kitts.

July 20-22, vs. West Indies Selection, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

July 25-29, 1st test, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.

August 2-6, 2nd test match, Sabina Park, Kingston.

If they want to promote Twenty20 in USA they should open the IPL season there...

Or take England their for a one off mini series, you could imagine many England supporters tempted to make the journey

MidOn the Barmy Army follows the English team everywhere...and the opportunity to visit Miami Beach, Disney World, Universal Studios, Harry Potter World, etc...would just mean an incremental increase in tourists...

They need to excite the locals to really get the game off the ground there...

But right now the US Cricket board is run by a clique of closed minded clannish people...who have no clue how to promote the game to the larger public...

That's true, wherever England play, the BA will follow.

It's a massive task to get the game taking off in the US of A.
