England batsman Ian Bell is to join the Lions squad for their tour match with the West Indies, following injury to Durham's Ben Stokes. The match on May 10th, will give Bell chance to prove he is back in form, following his troubles in the sub-continent....

Stokes, is struggling with a back injury, which has prevented him from bowling, and he has been sent for a scan, to work out what the problem is.

Bell has been in fine form for his county so far this season, proving he is back to his best, with a superb 120, ironically against Durham this past week.

National selector Geoff Miller said: "It is unfortunate that Ben's injury has ruled him out of the match, but Bell was keen to play another game ahead of the Test series"

England Lions squad: James Taylor (Nottinghamshire, captain), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Jack Brooks (Northamptonshire), Michael Carberry (Hampshire), Matt Coles (Kent), Nick Compton (Somerset), Jade Dernbach (Surrey), Simon Kerrigan (Lancashire), Stuart Meaker (Surrey), Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire).
