England have rested Graeme Swann, Tim Bresnan and Stuart Broad for the final ODI with the West Indies, which is at Headingley. It is a move that has caused a stir in some quarters.....
With Jade Dernbach returning to the squad, England have also called up fast bowler Stuart Meaker, Warwickshire's Chris Woakes and Kent spinner, James Tredwell, as they look to ring the changes for the final one day international with the West Indies.
Woakes was included for the second ODI, as a replacement for Dernbach, who was given compasionate leave, following the death of his team mate, Tom Maynard.
However, England's rotation policy, given they have already won the series, has not gone down well with some supporters, who want to see the best team that the England Cricket Team have to offer.
Still, with a 2-0 series win in the bag, and this dead rubber going ahead, why should England risk their main strike bowlers, with a tough South African series on the horizon.
We are looking forward to Meaker getting the chance at this level, should he nudge into the side. Let's face it, him and Finn bowling at 90mph+, should still get fans on the edge of their seats.
