New Zealand v England - 2nd ODI Scorecard

By Tom James
February 20 2013

England leveled the one day series with New Zealand, by virtue of a superb eight wicket win in Napier. James Anderson was outstanding again with the ball, striking five times as the home side were restricted to 269 all out. In reply England romped home, with youngster Joe Root again looking impressive in an England shirt...

Although Ross Taylor struck a century for New Zealand, the hosts were thankful for Brendon McCullum, who smashed the ball to all parts, in an entertaining 74 from 36 balls.

England though, were always in control of the run chase, with openers Alastair Cook and Ian Bell putting on 89 for the first wicket.

Root and Jonathan Trott were then able to see England home with two overs to spare.
