Wrap Up Warm for Lord's Test

England Cricket Fans heading to the opening international of the summer with New Zealand at Lord's this week, are advised to take woolly hats and coats as the hot weather has not arrived as of yet....

Temperatures are not set top top 15 degrees for the opening few days of the test match with New Zealand, with heavy showers forecast for Saturday, along with lighter rain spells on the opening two days.

It once again throws into question, the wisdom of opening the international home calendar in May, when the weather is mostly indifferent.

The chances of a result from the opening match of two with the Kiwi's is therefore already in doubt!

England have recalled the now fully fit duo of Graeme Swann and Tim Bresnan for the match, as they bid to put behind then a disapointing end to the winter tours, when they scrapped a thrilling draw out in New Zealand.

The heroics of Matt Prior in that Auckland test match, were rewarded this week, when he was announced as England player of the year, the first wicketkeeper to hold the award.
