England's first world cup appearance since 1992, will now be shown on free to air television, after Sky Sports reached a deal with Channel 4 to share the coverage. It means, millions of cricket lovers will get chance to cheer Eoin Morgan and the team on, as they bid to defeat New Zealand at Lord's on Sunday 14th July in the World Cup Final.

"It's cool, it's great that everyone gets the chance to see it," Eoin Morgan told the BBC "The 2005 Ashes was the moment for me when cricket became cool. That whole summer it was on all the front and back pages, everywhere."

"I don't think we will understand the impact until after the tournament when the guys go home. We will be recognised more than before." he concluded.

Of course, with the British Grand Prix on the same day, mid afternon will see the cricket shifted to 'More4', but the move is a welcome one by SKY and the authorities.
