So many congratulations to GOLD BART for being the second winner of the league. Please email your address to mtwdadmin@googlemail.comand we will send you one of our famous prizes. Well done also to Barmy Kev whose own late run took him to second and bad luck to Groundie, who having been top for the last two previous months, could not quite hang on.
Meanwhile the wooden spoon goes to Diamond, bad luck mate, while a special mention to Daisy who held up the table for many weeks but thanks to a late flourish by Van Der Wath hit the dizzy heights of 19th.

Thanks to all who took place, and the League will be back in 2010 with a couple of important changes.
Congratulations to Gold Bart! The prises are small but perfectly formed - well mine were anyway!
And a big thank you to Comeback for once again organising this fine competition
And probably well done to to Compton and that late flourish by Van Der Wath, as I was a spoon contender too for ages I think? I've been much more Middlesex than Durham this year, performance wise.
I did manage a slightly more respectable finish in the Torygraphs fantasy cricket - Daviesdivas romping home at 455 in the table [never got into the top 1000 before!]
Well done Gold Bart , Daisy you got lucky, I played most of the last third of the season with half a team . Note to self do not pick injury prone players or ones likely to retire half way through the season .
The Bunny is improving year on year , outside bet to win 2110 maybe ?
As for CBG , top effort as ever and much appreciated by all concerned .
If your putting my spoon in the post I might get it in time for a good old stir up of my Christmas pud (for 2110).
thanks very much for setting this comp up CBG, but as I've said in previous threads the real people who made this happen are the Essex seam bowlers.
it was incredibly generous of them to stop bothering to take any wickets once Kaneria returned from international duty and therefore allowing him to score a ridiculously large amounts of points relative to him missing 6 weeks of the year.
i look forward to defending my trophy next year, and just hope i don't get 2nd season syndrome...although if it is anything like Godleman's I will never win again!
