Here's our first caption competition post season. I won last one before season started and as I gave myself a miniscule prize can't have the privilege of judging. Leprechaun will step up to judge.
The deadline is 1st November ish. Usual options for winner. Good luck everyone

Er, I think this entry was actually by rod/ed. I'm assuming that identity confusion in the judging is a subtle comment on the original picture.
I did mine a similar seam with one of my entries but, unlike rod/ed's, it was not truly world class.

My apologies to Rod/ed who is the actual winner. And to Adelaide for false hope. I can only blame it on the stress of such a high quality field. No stewards inquiry needed.

I blame the judges, who were weak and naïve. Also the intervention of the MTWD medical team, who really need to understand the nature of caption competitions.

I thought we were heading for a re-run of the Rugby world cup quarter final with a Scot being denied by a dodgy decision in favour of an Australian. Altho' I think I'm correct that Adelaide is named after a Southgate road not South Oz.
I'm already the proud owner of a miniscule prize from an earlier Christmas comp so will gladly settle for being judge of the next caption comp, and let the prize roll over.
