Diamond reports on a pretty uninspiring day for Middlesex where a lMiddlesex born player dominated

Straight forward journey a nice Full English at Watford Gap. Arrived 1030 . 

417  5 . 2nd ball of day Stirlo shows positive intent with 4. More boundaries from Stirlo hogging the strike.  It's a case of is Stirlo going to get his century before Moggies double century. I go for smoke come back to find out I cursed it Stirlo out Barmy Kev tells me caught behind. TRJ scored a quick 18 no smoke as saw him spectacularly caught by Hales at mid wicket. 110 overs 481 7 no more bonus points for Notts ha ha. Not so funny for Moggy out caught behind for 191 returns  to a standing . ovation.  The Watford Wall out plum LB for 1. Someone in our group was pleased as this showed what he can do when bowling. I blame it on his upbringing. A wild slash by Mutrs takes us over 500. It's raining about to go off Ravi makes it easy to decide as caught in deep. All out 505.

I miss 1st wicket . Jacques LBW and I hear Kev shouted "Matron" . 27 1 at lunch. A nice pint of Porter  at Trent Bridge Inn thank you . Return with score 40 1 in drizzle and floodlights on. Hillingdon born Hales bought up his 50 with his 11th four.  Smoke breaks didn't work and boundaries were regular. Then no finer sight Finn clean bowling Lumb with middle stump cartwheeling out of ground. An even better sight Dext  has Titch off stump backward flipping out of ground. 

As the Hillingdon Hobbs on 96 Kev says I reckon we will get him out for 99. Another voice said just get him out. Which we did it looked plum LBW although Hales not happy. 

As getting darker we were reduced to slower bowlers who take our over rate from -2 to plus 2 but not look like taking a wicket. I join Vic for chat as game not going anywhere. Match finishes 2 overs early . Take  Kimmy and Spillage  back home. 

Yesterday was more fun but had 2 good days with excellent company

If you like this report it was all Kev if you don't it was Diamond.

Once again upside down picture. I haven't been on sauce that much. Technical help hopefully on way tomorrow with a call out to Trent Bridge
