London Leprechaun gives us a short report on a short day. Not much more to say really.

Well not quite a ditto day. Differences:

  • It was wet and cloudy when I got up but not quite as windy so not quite as cold
  • There were less people in the nice members’ lounge
  • I had pasta rather than soup for lunch
  • There were fewer covers on the outfield.

None

it was that dark

Oh and I nearly forget – there were fourteen balls of cricket played in stygian gloom. TRJ finished off his over: Durham milked five singles and got to their bonus point to rapturous applause from the, count on the fingers of your hand, crowd. Murts bowled one tight over. Richardson stroked one ball from TRJ for four and then it snowed. Half an hour later we all went home. And next time I need to escape builders I am going to Spain.

"And next time I need to escape builders I am going to Spain." Perhaps try Mexico. Mind you it was pretty cold at the Oval too.
