Middlesex today announced that Abdul Razzaq will be returning to the club for the remander of the season. This is due to the back injury suffered by Ashley Noffke. Razzaq will be back for the Lancashire County Championship match this week. For the team and the official statement from Middx, read on. We are pleased to announce that Abdul Razzaq today (Wednesday 20th August) returns to England from Pakistan to play for Middlesex. He will get straight back to work and is in the squad for our Championship game against Lancashire. Unfortunately, Ashley Noffke has sustained an injury that will not allow him to play for the remainder of the season and has therefore, returned to Australia. Thankfully, Joe Dawes will be able to play as a substitute for Ashley. Ashley has been a tremendous asset to the squad and we are very sorry to see him go, but he does with our thanks and very best wishes for a speedy recovery."
