Middlesex started life with out Gus Fraser in style making it three out of three in the county championship up at Northampton today, winning by an innings and two runs. Simon Cook continued his form from yesterday gaining anyother five wickets in the first innings to reach a career best of 8-63 as Northants were all out for 286.

Northants followed on needing 255 to make Middlesex bat again. they feel two short due to a combined effot from Noffke (3-77), Laraman (4-55), Bloomfield (2-39).
