Middlesex collapsed to their first one day defeat of the season at Lord's as Hampshire secured an emphatic 105 run victory, after reaching 353/8 in their 45 overs
Katich (85), Pieterson (80) and Mascarenhas (50*) were in awsome form for the Hawks who hit thirty 4s and thirteen 6s in a clinical display. Scott Styris was the only man to take more then one wicket in a shocking display for the Middlesex bowlers.
In reply Middlesex reached 248 all out. The reply never looked like overhauling the Hawk's target despite 89 from Owais Shah. Strauss again failed with 6 as the unbeaten run ended. Middlesex however, remain top of the Totesport League, with a two point lead over Essex who have a game in hand.
