The talented Will Rhodes not only won the toss, but also more importantly he proceeded to amass an impressive ton that laid the foundations for a fine win at home to Worcestershire in their Second Eleven Trophy encounter at Stamford Bridge. Captain Rhodes recorded a dozen fours and three sixes in his three-hour knock. Meanwhile Gibson and Robinson also assisted the white rose with commendable half centuries, while young Matt Fisher bowled exceptionally well.
Mention should also be made of Andy Hodd who recovered from a three-ball duck to take four catches during Worcestershire's admirable reply, while Harrogate's James Wainman also helped himself to a maiden over as well as a trio of wickets. In fact, Worcestershire eventually collapsed after they had reached 240 for a loss of only three wickets. However, in what was a batting bonanza, the hosts deserve a round of applause for denying any of the visiting bowlers a single maiden over. In summary, this represented a good day at the office for the Tykes' second string.
