Glenn Maxwell Shows The Way

Maxwell Shines!

By Gary Watton
August 2 2015

After another under-achieving summer in the Twenty20 circus, Yorkshire's Vikings have pulled their socks up (Do Vikings wear socks?) in the Royal London One-Day Cup, and following this afternoon's rain-damaged adventure in Durham, the Tykes have one foot in the quarter finals. A home fixture against Leicestershire looms on tomorrow's agenda, weather permitting, and if the red-hot duo of Maxwell and Ballance maintain their exceptional form, then Yorkshire can go far in this fifty-overs competition.

On a nice note of trivia, wicket keeper Andrew Hodd took four catches off four different bowlers. Such an occurrence must be almost as rare as consecutive wins for Yorkshire in one-day cricket!
