Big Tim ran out of partners and Yorkshire ran out of overs, as dastardly Durham just about prevailed in this absorbing fifty overs skirmish. Whilst Brezza had another batting performance of quality, his captain experienced a miserable day at the office, losing the toss, and contributing merely a catch and a solitary run. He can count himself fortunate that the stewards did not remove him from the pitch, as spectators are not allowed on to the playing surface!
Nevertheless, in spite of a less than impressive bowling display and an equally underwhelming batting response, the Tykes can still seal a home quarter final in the One Day Cup if they can avoid a home defeat against Warwickshire on the afternoon of Yorkshire Day whilst another narrow defeat will also probably suffice.
