Lyth Shines

Yorkshire emphatically returned to winning ways, maintaining their peculiar tendency of winning whilst on the road. The Tykes did well to turn this contest on its head after the hosts had reached an ominous 167 for three. Adil Rashid, our one-day specialist, didn't exactly cover himself in glory, as Leicestershire amassed a competitive target of 294. In the end, this target was about fifty runs too short. An impressive, unbeaten innings from Lyth paved the way for this success, ably assisted by an excellent opening stand with Kohler-Cadmore followed by an equally good stand with the in-form Pujara which safely got the away team to the chequered flag. Whether inconsistent Yorkshire can kick on from here remains to be seen.
